Second Skin's products were a LIFESAVER! I have auditory issues where background noises really affect me. My fridge's compressor hums 24/7 (as most new fridges do, due to new congressional environmental regulations). 4 repair mechanics had been out to the house, and Samsung. I used Second Skin’s Boat Engine Compartment Insulation Kit on my Yamaha AR195 which has powerful but loud engine. I covered the engine door with the Second Skin Dampener, then the Heat Wave Pro, then put the original foam back in (cause why not??). Everywhere else inside the engine bay I used the Dampener. I also covered the fuel compartment door with the Dampener which was 9 sqft - so a big area. It's much quieter than before at idle/sunset cruise speeds making it easier to talk. And quieter when accelerating and at plane speeds. I achieved a 4-10 dB difference depending in RPM range. All around I feel it was worth the investment.
